Red Dress: "Solo"

Solo is designed for the Women’s Heart Disease Campaign.

Red poppy and spider lily inspired the dress Solo. Both flowers are associated with death and loneliness in cultures and legends, yet their beauty and stories embodied a sense of energy, strength, and courage.

Solo illustrate the inner feelings of patients who may have experience social isolation because they cannot enjoy simple tasks such as jumping, running, or even laughing emotionally with friends and family.

Misfortune breed the desire for liberation from the physical barriers in the patients. Solo is an instrument for freedom and happiness through swirling the layers of organza and strands of bells.
